ROOTCR HU

RootCR — a one-person development workshop

A website that works: brings customers, saves hours.

Custom websites, web stores and automation for small businesses — 12 years, fixed price, fixed deadline. From the person who also writes the code.

The difference

You get what you ordered. For what we agreed.

The quote states itemized scope, a fixed price and a fixed date. If I underestimated the work, that loss is mine — not yours. The public price list also states what is not included.

The guarantee

Everything here can be checked. Nothing has to be believed.

Every number on this page states how and when it was measured — and you can run the same measurement yourself, right now. The command is below.

Measured data

1,350 times a site I built became the AI’s answer.

Someone asked a language model a question, and a site I built became the answer. Models do not guess: they download the page, and that leaves a trace in the server log. Since February 2026 there have been 67,376 such downloads — and in 1,350 of them no machine was harvesting, a real person asked. Roughly once every three and a half hours, day and night.

  • AI system downloads

    24,949requests

over 195 days: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Meta AI and Amazon Rufus. AI systems account for 6.8% of all traffic on bucipek.hu and 10.9% on aiseo42.com (server access logs, February–August 2026).

  • Third-party trackers

    0scripts

on all five RootCR sites. The same measurement covered 25 Hungarian developers' and agencies' own sites: of the 19 that responded, exactly one carries no tracker, and the average is 8.7 (measured 25 August 2026).

  • Server response time

    40ms

median of five requests per page; every RootCR site answers under 90 ms. Measured the same way on the same day, the field's median was 143 ms, its average 357 ms and its slowest 2,878 ms (25 August 2026).

  • JavaScript loaded

    11files

per page on average across RootCR sites, against a field average of 34. The heaviest competitor page loads 82 files and 28 trackers from 749 KB (measured 25 August 2026).

Every figure states how and when it was measured. The complete data — per bot, per site, with the exact method — is published openly: measured data. You do not have to take my word for it: run it yourself.

Live systems

Not screenshots. Working sites you can open right now.

The sites are in Hungarian — the numbers are not. Response time, tracker count and AI-crawler traffic read the same in every language, and you can measure all of it yourself.

How this works from abroad

One person, in Hungary. Here is exactly what that means for you.

Distance is a real risk, so the terms are written down rather than hoped for. In practice: pekarunagyker.hu was delivered in three days, lunavera.hu in two weeks, the complete bucipek.hu in three.

01

Written, in English

Scope, fixed price and fixed date in writing before anything starts. If I cannot genuinely help, I say so here — not three months later.

02

One person, one business day

Whoever gives the quote writes the code. No time-zone ping-pong between a salesperson, a junior and a project manager.

03

A working state every two weeks

You open it and use it, not a screenshot. Your feedback goes in along the way, not at the end.

04

You hold the keys

Full source code and every credential at handover, no licence fee. Payment: 50% at the start, 50% once everything is already in your hands.

Client testimonial — 2026-08-25

The numbers are mine. This sentence is not.

Client testimonial

The most professional company I have ever come across.

If it genuinely matters to you that your website is not only beautiful and professional but also a reflection of you, do not look any further, not even for a minute.

The case in detail

The problem

Why does a template site have to be thrown away two years later?

Because the template was not made for your process, but for the average. Every deviation gets patched with another plugin — a few years later thirty pieces of foreign code keep the site alive.

01

Plugins break each other

One update is enough for the cart or the form to stop working. You are not the first to see the failure — the customer is, the one who cannot pay. With hand-written code there are no thirty foreign dependencies changing underneath you.

02

Speed cannot be glued on afterwards

A template loads as much as its creator imagined. An optimisation plugin only softens that. If the site loads only what it needs in the first place, there is nothing to optimise. More on this: when is a custom website worth it instead of WordPress.

03

The attack is not looking for you, it is looking for your plugin

  • 11,334new vulnerabilities in 2025
  • 91%of them in plugins, not the core
  • 12%of known attacks caught by typical protection

Source: Patchstack, State of WordPress Security in 2026 — 2025 figures for the WordPress ecosystem. 45% of the severe flaws came under attack within 24 hours.

The bot is not looking for your company: it looks for a flaw that a few hundred thousand sites run, and tries it across the internet. With hand-written code that layer is not there — verifying an uploaded file, validating submitted data, limiting abuse is not a plugin's promise but code I can explain line by line. How a custom site protects you, and what my own system watches.

Price

What does it cost?

The quote states one fixed price and one fixed date. If I underestimated the work, that is my risk, not yours. Starting prices below, net; the exact amount depends on scope.

What you getWhat it coversPrice
Custom website Custom design, complete structured data, protected form, measurement report at handover. from $500
Web store Custom product data model, own ordering flow, payment and invoicing connected, admin interface. from $700
Automation Connecting systems, scheduled processing, alerting. Hourly billing for smaller tasks. from $50 / hour
INCLUDED

What the price always contains

The five items that belong directly to the price. The full itemization, the typical project sizes and what moves the figure are on the pricing page.

  • Fixed price and fixed deadline, in writing. With itemized content, and with what is not included.
  • Custom design, with two rounds of feedback. Your feedback does not make the project more expensive.
  • The complete findability layer — in search and in AI answers. This is the item others sell as a separate package, typically on a monthly fee.
  • Six months of free bug fixing. For whatever does not work as described in the quote.
  • Content changes. Price, product, text, image: just tell me, I do it, at no extra charge.
NOT INCLUDED

What you pay for separately

  • Hosting and domain. For a static site $10–20 a month, for a web store typically $30–70. The provider's invoice, in your name — not a fee payable to me.
  • Ongoing operations and monitoring. I take it on, but it is not mandatory: the delivered system can run anywhere, you are not tied to anything.
  • New features after handover. I price them before I start — they do not appear on the invoice afterwards.

The detailed pricing, the typical project sizes and the "when should you NOT choose me" section are published openly on the pricing page. There is one thing you will not find on the list: the lowest price — I do not compete in that race.

Frequently asked questions

What most people ask

Who owns the code when it is finished?

You do. At handover you get the full source code and every access credential, with no licence fee and no mandatory monthly package. There is no key I keep to myself, and no part of the system another developer could not take over.

When do I pay, and how much?

50% at the start, 50% on handover. RootCR does not ask for the full amount up front, and there is no hidden item at the end.

The final invoice falls due at handover — at the point where the source code, every credential and the measurement report are already in your hands. The exact amounts appear in the quote as fixed figures, not estimates.

How long does it take to build a website?

A custom company site typically takes a few days, a web store one or two weeks — assuming all the material is available. The deadline in the quote is a fixed date, not an estimate. The most common cause of delay is not development but missing content: text, photos, product data. That is why you get the list of required material at the start.

Why is it more expensive than a $300 template site?

Because it is not the same thing being built. With a template site, someone else worked out the design and the behaviour, and you get the settings. With custom development your process defines the system, and the code stays yours.

If your website is just a digital business card, a template may be enough, and I usually say so. Custom development is worth buying when the site or the store brings in money or saves working hours. The full pricing is on the pricing page.

Are search engine optimization and AI visibility included in the price?

Yes, at no surcharge — not a package you can buy afterwards but part of the build. The site is made from the start so that search engines and language models understand the same thing the visitor sees, and so that nothing has to be bolted on later. This kind of work is always more expensive and always worth less afterwards than when it is built in from the first line.

The price is moved by the number of subpages, the integrations and the custom logic, not by findability. I show you how it is put together on your own site when you request a quote. If an existing site needs standalone AI visibility work, our sister brand handles it: aiseo42.com.

Why choose custom instead of WordPress or Shopify?

Not always worth it. If you sell standard products through a standard process, a well-configured off-the-shelf system is cheaper and faster.

Custom development is better when your process differs from the average: per-customer pricing, minimum order quantities, complex variants, production lead times, or an integration no off-the-shelf plugin covers. In that case patching the off-the-shelf system costs more than custom development. Walked through: when is a custom website worth it instead of WordPress, and which store system to choose.

Will my site appear in ChatGPT and Google AI answers?

Nobody can guarantee that, because we do not decide it. What can be done, I do: complete structured data, a machine-readable sitemap and content summary, factual paragraphs that make sense on their own, and clean server-side output that search engines and language models can process.

This is the same work that moves you forward in traditional search, just done more strictly. The method in detail: how does a small business get into ChatGPT and Google AI answers.

Do I need hosting, and what does it cost?

Yes, the system has to live somewhere. For a static website that is $10–20 a month, for a web store typically $30–70, depending on traffic. This is not a fee payable to me but the provider's invoice, and the contract is in your name.

Is there a warranty on the work?

For six months after handover I fix free of charge whatever does not work as described in the quote. This does not extend to new features, nor to cases where someone else modifies the system.

Will you take on an abandoned project, or one built by someone else?

Yes, but first I review the existing code and tell you whether it is worth fixing or rewriting. That review is a few hours of work, and you get an honest answer even if the answer is that the current system is not worth patching further. How the decision goes: taking over an abandoned website — fix it or rewrite it.

Do you have a client who has gone on record about your work?

Yes — Wilhelm Orsolya, the owner of lunavera.hu, by name and with written consent. The testimonial stands on the site word for word, unedited, and the client's own site is one click away to check. The full text, together with the measured figures behind it, is in the case study. I am currently collecting feedback from the clients of my more recent projects; whatever goes up will go up the same way — by name and with consent.
